My background and life experiences have been diverse — teaching yoga and mindfulness, the creative arts, leading and participating in group collaborative experiences, bringing people of all ages and populations together, all of which make ME unique and which I will share with YOU!
I received my 200-hour yoga certification at Thrive Yoga.
I am certified to teach The Mindfulness Curriculum to children and adults through
Mindful Schools, Inc. and incorporate these practices into all of my facilitation.
I taught dance at The Levine School of Music and
Arts Summer camp. The arts and performance at
Black Rock Center for the Arts, The Woods Academy,
The Barrie School, as well as The Lombardi Cancer
Center and The Children's Inn.
I have a degree in Design and Fine Art and studied
Multicultural Education and the Arts at Lesley
University in Cambridge, MA, a pioneer institution
for experiential learning and teaching.
I created a CD, Lovely Jewels, original songs and
art work that tell the stories of the incredible people
I have known and loved through my work as the
Life Enrichment Director with Alzheimer's patients.
I have studied guitar and song writing with
Vance Gilbert, Ted Garber and Cathy Fink, and
West African drumming with Jaqui MacMillan.
I collaborated in drum circles with Arthur Hull, Mamady Keita and Jim Donovan and
performed in a group dance in the International Improv. and Fringe Festival in D.C.
My paintings and designs have been on exhibit in the Washington, D.C, Virginia,
Maryland and New York City, and have won national awards.
